About me

Psychologist for adults and adolescents, in Hungarian and English.

I am Judit Hamar, a psychologist. From an early age, I felt a strong interest in understanding human behavior and the inner processes that shape our experiences. This interest has guided my professional path ever since.

I completed my undergraduate studies in psychology at the University of Debrecen. During my studies, I also spent one and a half years abroad through an international scholarship program, gaining academic experience in the United States and Poland. I later earned my Master's degree in Clinical and Health Psychology at Eötvös Loránd University.

In addition to my psychological background, I spent over seven years working in international recruitment. This experience provided valuable insight into career-related challenges, workplace stress, and life transitions, which I continue to integrate into my work with clients today, especially in cases of burnout, career change, or professional uncertainty.

I consider continuous professional development essential, and I have completed additional training in grief counseling and grief group facilitation, communication training, and I am also a certified OH-card instructor.

Currently, I also work as a psychologist in a family support center, where I provide psychological support in a variety of life situations.

A key area of interest in my work is behavioral addictions, particularly related to internet and digital use. I also deliver prevention workshops in this area together with my husband, who is an addiction consultant.

I believe there are times in everyone's life when an outside, supportive perspective helps. In our work together I create a safe, accepting atmosphere where it becomes possible to understand yourself more deeply and to begin change.
